One of the reasons I can't accomplish anything is that I am being pulled in too many directions. If this sounds like an excuse well it is. About the time that I committed to Finally Finishing I also committed to my 11 year old grandson Dylan that I would read all the Harry Potter books with him and then we would watch the movies and discuss. Well, I can't seem to read and do everything else on my "to do list". Dylan has finished HarryPotter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, book 3 in the Harry Potter Series while I tag along on page 301.Tired of waiting for me to catch up he has since
started book 4 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and already on page 150 or so of an almost 800 page book. (Apparently he doesnt' know of my 300 page limit on any book I read) So If I seem a bit sluggish finishing my promise of the third and final scarf from my last post it is because I am reading every night until my eyes bleed. I can not face him again and admit once more that "no, I have not finished my book yet"
I don't know if it is disbelief or disgust I see in his eyes but since I can't find the cliff notes to this book, "come hell or high water" as they say I will finish
the book today !

Jackie, what a wonderful gift you are giving that beautiful boy. Also what a great idea. Have you considered audio books? That way you can read and finish these projects at the same time. Anyway, you give him so many lasting memories that he will one day cherish. Actually by finishing these projects, you are giving lating memories to all of us. Thank you. Rose
I was going to suggest exactly what rose said! I'm not surprised you can't find cliff notes of the hp books, but I'd eat my left shoe if you can't find the audio books. I totally know how you feel about being stretched too thin. Between work, the gym (twice a day), weekend events, and life in general, it's hard to find time for anything. Now I just opened up a shop, and an participating in the blog challenge, finding time to knit seems all but impossible. (knitting and driving is illegal right? lol) I also wanted to tell you that I tagged your blog for a blog award! http://yarnology101.blogspot.com/2012/10/my-first-tag.html?m=1
jackie she's right, audio books are the way to "read". Especially the HP series. they are done particularly well.
Dear Rose, My #1 fan. Your constant support keeps me going on the web and off. I love you!
Hi Brittany, Thanks for the blog award tag, it was so kind of you. I will definately look for the audio book. Make time to knit you are so gifted there. Is the new shop featured on your blog? Thanks keep going you are very talented.
Hi Jeff, I am on my way to the library to look for the audio. Won't Dylan be surprised when I catch up so quick.
Haw awesome to do this for your grandson! I admit I didn't think of the audiobooks, which is a great idea. That way, you can keep both of your committments.
Definitely, audio books. Hows my Christmas stocking coming?
