Christmas In July was not as productive as I had hoped.
I only finished three things. Bob's stocking (a 10+ year unfinished project) is done. My mom helped me master the 4 double pointed needle knitting technique. Like everything in life
"it isn't hard once you fiqure it out."
Thanks Mom!
Am I supposed to fill this thing now? I guess I shouldn't have made it so big.
Merry Christmas Bob !!!

I will need to borrow an American Doll so that I can post pictures of the two dresses that I am working one. Anyone??? One is complete now and the other one is almost there.
So now it is time to "shake my bootie"...Oh don't be scared, I'm not talking about "MY BOOTIE" that would be disturbing on so many levels. I mean baby booties. Apparently I went through a rather extensive "bootie" stage. I will gather the countless pair and put on the finishing touches. These will be donated to the Appalachian Outreach Project!!! Thanks, Keep Cool!

Oh; please by all means, start to fill my Christmas stocking now!!!
What a great update Jackie. Your comedy routine really spices up the hum drum of the "craft" lingo which "I'm not gonna lie" is not my favorite. But that does not detract whatsoever with my support for your project goals and how proud I am of you. Not to mention the publicity my kids are getting. Btw remember that those stockings stretch so Bob is in for the best Christmas ever. Don't forget the apple in the toe and the orange in the heal. That will help. Keep up the good work. Love you. Rose
Thanks for all the support Rose and for the stocking hints. If I do more humor and less crafting I will get in trouble and not finish anything.....hence the blog! ha ha ha. P.S. I always felt cheated by the apple and the orange....does that make me bad? :(
Thanks Bob,I will do that and I will start today. BTW I took the credit card.....xoxox
wow, what gorgeous dresses. have to say, i'm glad the stocking was for bob and the dresses for the kids and not the other way around....
everything you make is beautiful and i love hearing how it all came to be. keep up the good work, xo.
All great stuff Jackie, I believe there is something you were going to finish for me twenty years ago, you must have skipped it to get to Bob;s ten year stocking. Also i think the stocking picture needs a prop to give it scale. Either santas foot or a penny...or maybe a piece of coal.
Good point Jeff....FYI the stocking is about as big as Santa's Foot. xoxo
LOVE the stocking Jackie! I don't know how to knit with DPN's, wish I did! Looks GREAT! And your neices are adorable in those dresses!
Honestly it is easier than you think. Divide stitches on to three needles saving the fourth needle to knit with. You Tube can show you. Thanks, Your "girls" are adorable.
